Marissa was born in Wilmington, but raised in the small town of Burgaw, NC known for the famous blueberry festivals! Although she has worked in other medical fields seeing cuts, bruises, blood, and all that, she is new to the eyecare world. Marissa is always interested in learning new things about our eyes and how they function!
She comes from a big family who loves each other and loves spending time together. She loves nature such as flowers, trees and skies, just not a fan of bugs! Her favorite flower is a sunflower because they stand bright and tall. Did you know the true meaning behind sunflowers is happiness? That is what she likes to convey herself as, she is always trying to stay happy and positive!
