Cindy graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. She moved from Ohio to Wilmington in 2012 and started working at Omni Eye Specialists in 2013. Cindy is our District Manager in the North Carolina Region. She is passionate about providing the best patient care possible. Cindy is dedicated to creating an environment for both the team members and patients to enjoy and feel like they are part of a family. She married her husband Aaron in 2014 and together they care for their 2 fur-babies Duke and Jade. She enjoys hiking, bike rides, live music, gardening, brewing beer, and escaping to the mountains in Asheville anytime they can.
Phillyn joined Omni in 2019 as an optometric technician and became our office manager in 2021! She is proud to be part of a team and practice that values their patients and the care they provide. A military brat who moved 11 times before even graduating high school, she claims Fort Walton Beach, FL as home and most recently moved to Wilmington in 2019. In her spare time, Phillyn enjoys the beach, tennis, trying out new restaurants, road trips and spending time with her husband, two sweet dogs, family and friends.
Kayla and her husband moved to North Carolina in 2021 to be near to her parents when they retire. She graduated in 2017 with her BS in Organizational Leadership from Arizona State University. Although new to the Optometric Industry Kayla is eager and excited to be working for Omni Eye Specialists as she really has a desire to serve patients and meet their needs. In her spare time, Kayla and her husband enjoy cooking, watching movies, biking, hiking, and eating out.
Marissa was born in Wilmington, but raised in the small town of Burgaw, NC known for the famous blueberry festivals! Although she has worked in other medical fields seeing cuts, bruises, blood, and all that, she is new to the eyecare world. Marissa is always interested in learning new things about our eyes and how they function!
She comes from a big family who loves each other and loves spending time together. She loves nature such as flowers, trees and skies, just not a fan of bugs! Her favorite flower is a sunflower because they stand bright and tall. Did you know the true meaning behind sunflowers is happiness? That is what she likes to convey herself as, she is always trying to stay happy and positive!
Kelcie was born and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and moved to Wilmington after graduating high school in 2011. Kelcie then graduated from Cape Fear Community College with an associate degree in liberal arts. She has enjoyed gaining experience in many areas of the work force; including accounting, retail management, food and beverage management, and textile production. Since she was a little girl, Kelcie has been interested in eye care. She has had eye complications since the 3rd grade and has grown curious about how she could help others experiencing the same things. Getting the opportunity to work at Omni Eye Specialists is one she has been waiting for! When she isn't working, Kelcie enjoys baking, going to concerts, and spending the weekend on the beach with friends.
Tina has been in the optical world for over 30 years. She started her career at 16, answering phones in an optometry office and after just two weeks, knew she wanted to learn as much as possible in the field! She trained as an optometric technician for 3 years then expanded her knowledge as an optician and fell in love with the optical side. Helping choose frames and finding the best lens designs and coating for each individual is her specialty. Outside of optical, Tina has 3 boys, Jason, Dylon and Ryan. You can normally find them on the beach or outside enjoying our NC weather!
Haley grew up in a small town just north of Atlanta, Georgia. She moved to Eastern North Carolina in 2014 to pursue a degree in Psychology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Throughout and after college, Haley worked in retail pharmacy. Haley has been in the healthcare field for almost a decade, but this is her first venture into the realm of eye care. Haley is thrilled for an opportunity to have more hands-on interactions with patients. When she is not at work, Haley can be found watching a movie with her boyfriend, playing fetch with her dog at the beach, or reading a good book.
